Garland is committed to supporting the emerging generation of craft thinkers.

Recently we have seen new pathways in tertiary education and a greater appreciation of thinking through making. This has combined to encourage a new wave of “thinker-makers” who have the potential to champion the value of craft in our world today.

This comes at a time when there is a search for alternatives to the global consumer capitalism that is emptying the planet of its rich natural, linguistic and cultural diversity.

If you are growing your involvement in craft as a student or maker, you are invited to fill out this form to receive a free membership of the Garland Circle. This will unlock the premium content, including the Quarterly Essays that explore issues in depth and a monthly newsletter with recent craft news and important new publications.

This is an exciting time to be involved. We see glimmers of a “craft renaissance” across the wider world. A new conversation beckons.
