Hi Dave,
About 12 months back I discovered urushi while restoring a saya for a nohonto.
As a result, I have been working g with it every day since. I’ve searched and screwed for any information I can find in English, along with Google translation for Japanese text.
I could happily emerge myself in the world of urushi on a permanent bases but obtaining the knowledge needed to make a living is not readily available for an English only individual. Are you aware of anywhere that 1, teaches in English and 2, would be prepared to teach remotely ie online?
