Preparation of aromatic paste,The Sultan Ghiyath al-Din, watching the preparation of ‘abtana’ (aromatic paste). Two servants working on it, one mixing ingredients in a large bowl, the other rolling out the paste. Outdoor scene against a landscape of heavy vegetation and a gold sky. Opaque watercolour. Sultanate style.
