Pembaharu ✿ Java
The penultimate issue of our journey takes us to Java and its surrounding islands where a new generation is keeping traditions alive with the technology of their time. Pembaharu means “innovation” in the emerging generation: “Pembaharu, who are eager to apprehend these immense crafts traditions and have the courage to push it forward.”
